Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

I have been a licensed massage therapist for 6 years practicing deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy in Arizona. Working in a chiropractic office for the last three years has given me a great understanding of the many forms of muscular and skeletal dysfunctions. My aim is to help you gain balance between the two.

Muscles and Bones

Through the use of deep tissue massage I am able to separate muscles that are stuck to one another. Deep tissue massage also allows for the lengthening of connective tissue freeing muscles from constriction. Trigger point therapy allows muscles that are caught in a steady state of contraction to relax. These trigger points are what most people know as knots and can create an array of pain and complications. By utilizing deep tissue and trigger point therapy along with various stretches we can help the muscles get closer to their original shape. This enables the relationship between the muscle and bones to be better.

Prior to living in Portland, Andrew worked in Scottsdale and Carefree, Arizona as a massage therapist in clinical and health club/spa settings. Andrew’s background in cycling and other sports, as well as enduring a few injuries of his own, has given him the expertise and knowledge that the body requires consistent maintenance to lead a healthy, active life.
